As a formal advisor to the Secretary of Health & Human Services, WEDI is the leading authority on the use of health IT to improve healthcare information exchange. We have recently built a Health Equity Workgroup to focus on topics related to data capture, data sourcing, and the findings from that analysis. I have been the Director of WEDI Workgroups for 10+ years and manage our communications as well. I live in the Charleston area and am looking forward to learning more about health disparities and ways in which health data & IT can improve healthcare for disadvantaged patients.
